• ALZHEIMER’S DAY PROGRAM
    The Departmental Association organized an Alzheimer’s Awareness Program with the intend of educating the students of the college about the disorder. Alzheimer's disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills, and, eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. In most people with Alzheimer's, symptoms first appear in their mid-60s; and the earlier the detection occurs the higher the chances of better management and slowing down the progressive rate.

  • TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION
    The students of the Department under the organizational skills of the Departmental Association planned a Teachers Day Celebration to show gratitude for the help that the teachers provided. The program comprised of sharing the memorable experiences that the students had with the teachers and how some gestures had moved them into who they are today.

  • SEMINAR ON PSYCHONUTRITIONAL THERAPY
    Nutritional therapy works very well alongside other treatments and was therefore prudent to provide the aspiring psychologists with a session from the expert. The session provided the students with the run down on how the initial appointment works and how to proceed through the sessions.

  • WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY CELEBRATION
    In tune with the theme of the year, the department created an installation where in a dried-up tree stump was pasted with green coloured paper leaves, with slogans written on it as well as quotes and pledges regarding the extension of dignity to those suffering from mental health concerns. The installation was highlighted as the presence and nurturance of hope through collective efforts of the society.

  • WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY AWARENESS
    The theme for this year’s World Mental Health Day, observed on 10 October, is "Dignity in mental health". Where better to start, than at the ears of the future – the students who would be active listeners and who would take it back to their parents in the evening which would have double the effect than any other group of listeners. The students were highly enthusiastic and promised to not hurt the feelings of those with mental health concerns, and support them in any way they can. The Department team that visited the nearby schools were overwhelmed with the positive response and assured that services will be extended in future as well.

    With the purpose of adding to the efforts of the World Health Organization, the department poured in its efforts and created an installation using waste materials collected, with the aim of dispelling the common myths that surround “AIDS”
